Bruce Harlan Wolfe, Sr., 82, husband of Jonnie Jeanette (Henley) Wolfe, formerly of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 in Brookdale of Staunton in Staunton, Virginia.
Mr. Wolfe was born on January 13, 1933 in Moorefield, WV, a son of the late Melvin Page and Hazel Ruth (Thomas) Wolfe.
Mr. Wolfe has served as deacon and taught Sunday school, and was a current member of Oakdale Christian Church in Moorefield, WV; and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he was employed by McCrory Variety Stores, and as store manager and was named Manager of the Year numerous times. Mr. Wolfe was a former member of the Moorefield Lions Club #010966, Habitat for Humanity and he also enjoyed outdoor activities.
In addition to his parents Bruce was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Wolfe and Wayne Wolfe.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years, is a son, Bruce H. Wolfe, Jr. and his wife Vanessa of Spring Hill, FL; a daughter, Cathy W. Byerly and her husband Jerry of Matthews, NC; four sisters, Lola Crider, Elizabeth Whitener, Armeda Nosal and Judy Wolfe all of Moorefield, WV; and two grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be conducted at a later date at Oakdale Christian Church in Moorefield, WV.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
