Boyd Lohr Snyder, 80, husband of Kay Wright (Eutsler) Snyder of 306H Lake Road, Stuarts Draft, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Snyder was born on August 29, 1940 in Augusta County, Virginia, a son of the late Richard N. and Naomi B. (Campbell) Snyder.

Boyd was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Staunton, serving as a Ruling Elder for a number of years. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Dunsmore Business College and retired from J.B. Wine and Son after forty-five years of employment. He was a past member of the Staunton City School Board and he and his wife Kay were owners of the Staunton Braves baseball franchise for seventeen years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by a half-brother, Howard Campbell; half-sisters, Enie Harris and Phyllis Campbell; brother-in-law, Floyd Wright; and sister-in-law, Mary McLear.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife, is a daughter, Laura Back of Staunton; step-sons, Garland Eutsler and his wife Carolynn and Christopher Eutsler, all of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Naomi Back, Hunter Back, Ryan Eutsler, Collin Eutsler, Nicole Eutsler, Hope Ramsey, Amber Glyshaw, and Nicki DiMeo; and special friends, Jack Wilkers and his wife Kathleen.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Jacob Singleton.
