Bonnie Lee Traylor-Bender, 76, wife of Harley Bender, of Staunton, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Bender was born on October 14, 1941 in Warren, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Jewell) Green.
Bonnie worked for Mr. Boyd Thompson at the Staunton School of Cosmetology since 1971. She loved the Lord and was a kind and loving person, who always enjoyed taking care of others.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Traylor, a sister, Tina Snead, and a step-daughter, Debra Bender.
Surviving in addition to her husband of twenty years are Bonnie's children, Vanessa and Keith Willis, Kevin and Susan Traylor, Shawn and Dawn Traylor, a niece that she loved and raised as her own, Desire and Kevin Wolfe; Harley's children that she loved as her own for twenty years, Joy and Wayne Campbell, Claudette and William Lee Wilcher, Martha and Glen Colvin, and Robin Bender; siblings, Penny Babb, Bart Green, Bob Ross, Dennis Green, Paula Morris, Richard Green, John Green, and Vernon Green; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Todd Brown.
Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Nelson, Justin Nelson, Brandon Traylor, Patrick Traylor, Jeremy Colvin, Brian Campbell, Matt Wilcher, and Jason Kite.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren..
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
