John R. Colvin
Craigsville:
John Robert Bobby Colvin, 29 of 49 South Poplar Ave., Craigsville passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at his residence.
Bobby was born in Waynesboro on October 25, 1979, a son of John Samuel, Jr. Sammy and Cynthia Gale (Downey) Colvin.
Mr. Colvin worked as an assembler with Shoffner Industries in Waynesboro, enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting movies and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a member of Craigsville Presbyterian Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John S., Sr. and Hazel Colvin, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey and Polly Downey and his best friend and brother, James Bradley Colvin.
In addition to his parents of Craigsville, Bobby is survived by his brother, Jonathan Russell Rusty Colvin of Lenoir, North Carolina; a sister, April Lee Colvin of Craigsville; two special nieces, Chelsea Colvin and Makayla Weaver; a nephew, Stewart James Bubba Weaver; a great-nephew, Aiden Clatterbaugh; four aunts, Bonnie Downey, Tina Stephenson, all of Craigsville, Joyce Tuttle and her husband Bill of Bath County and Gail Craun and her husband Benny; and a number of cousins and many close and special friends also survive.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy McClanahan, Garron Hart, Jarred Kincaid, Ben Thompson, Rob Ingram and Bradley Ingram.
Graveside services are tentatively scheduled for Monday, (March 9, 2009) in the Craigsville Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Bobbys residence at anytime.
