Bobby Lee Cash, Sr., 81, widower of Shirley Virginia (Jordan) Cash
of 905 New Hope Road, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his
residence.
Mr. Cash was born on August 9, 1936 in Staunton, a son of the late Raymond Eugene and Harriet Frances (Smith) Cash.
Bobby was a member of the White Hill Church of the Brethren, a retired pipe fitter for over forty years, and he enjoyed dirt track racing, hunting, fishing and tinkering with cars. "Mr. Cash loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren equally."
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Cash was preceded in death by
two infant daughters, Doris Jean Cash and Debbie Cash; two brothers, Glenn Cash and Johnny Cash; and a sister, Barbara Garland.
Surviving is a son, Bobby Lee Cash-Schneider and his husband Don of Fairfield; two daughters, Patsy Brown and husband David and Sandra Loughner and her husband Charles, all of Staunton; three step-daughters, Susan Newton and Cindy Cash, both of Staunton, and Teresa Brown of Waynesboro; two step-sons, Steve Austin and his wife Sue of Salem and Dale Austin and his wife Colleen of Covington; a sister-in-law, Mallie Cash of Sherando; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors James I. "Jim" Chappell and David Chappell.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Larry McMillion, Charles Loughner, Timmy Jordan, Frankie Hollingsworth, Phillip Jordan, Travis Austin, Mike Wiseman, and Daniel Austin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Wiseman, Steve Austin, Justin Ramsey, Danny Harris, and Wade Staton.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
