Bobbie Lee Knight, 88, husband of Mildred (Lotts) Knight passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at CJW Medical Center in Richmond.

Mr. Knight was born in Fordwick, Virginia on November 22, 1937, a son of the late James Herman Knight and Hazel (Johnson) Knight.

Bobbie served his country in the United States Army 11th Airborne Division as a paratrooper. Following 37 years of dedicated service with Columbia Gas, he retired and began a new chapter by founding his own business, B Knight Natural Gas, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving the natural gas industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Perry Knight; and a brother, Herman “Junior” Knight.

Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-seven years, is a son Jerry Knight (Tammy); a daughter, Virginia Luke (Roy); and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Knight; four grandchildren, Katelin, Kaylee, and Phillip Knight, and Erin McGee; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Knight.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. William “Bill” Trice.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Old Providence ARP Church Cemetery.
