Bittle Mccray's Obituary
Bittle McCray, 80, widower of Shirley (Ruley) McCray, of Cider Mill Road, Mount Sidney passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville.
Mr. McCray was born on April 14, 1938 in Augusta County, son of the late
Joseph and Lula (Siron) McCray.
Bittle was a member of the Verona Moose Lodge 2172 and was retired from Farrier Paving as a truck driver.
Surviving is a daughter, Alice M. Brown and her husband Timothy of Mount Sidney; two sons, Marvin B. McCray and his wife Sandra of Weyers Cave, and Jeffrey W. McCray of Woodstock; one brother, Finley McCray of Staunton; two sisters, Josephine Ruley of Verona, and Ferraba Winegard of Staunton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2018 in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Mount Sidney by Pastor William Strickler.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Shenandoah Hospice House, 111 N. Campus Lane, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Mr. McCray's care-giver and grandson Jeremy Wayne Brown, his nurse Beverley Brown, and the staff at the Shenandoah Hospice House.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
