Obituary

Beulah Lee (Chittum) Smith Cash, 87, widow of Sherman Worth Cash, of 207 George Street, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Cash was born on March 19, 1931 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Lacy Oscar and Gracie Emmogene (Cash) Chittum.

Beulah was a member of the Fishersville Baptist Church and retired from General Electric / Genicom, where she had been employed as an office assistant in the shipping department. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cash was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn "Polly" Chandler, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Crickenberger, and Connie Reider.

Surviving are two sons, Steven C. Smith and his wife Kimberley and Anthony C. Smith and his wife Judy; two daughters, Yvonne S. Holmes and her husband Bobby and Kimberly Fretwell and her husband Steve; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Chittum and Marshall Chittum; two sisters, Luella Shuey and Alice Huffman; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Glen Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Mr. Dennis Shuey.
