Betty (Link) Moffett, 79, wife of Henry H. Moffett, Jr. of Fishersville passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Moffett was born June 7, 1934 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Elwood R. and Mary (Alexander) Link.

Betty was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church and a retired nurse.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moffett was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sue Huffman.

Mrs. Moffett is survived by her husband, Henry of fifty-five years; her three sons, Alex Moffett and his wife Lauri of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Scott Moffett and his wife Greta of Waynesboro and Lyle Moffett and his wife Cheryl of Verona; a brother E. R. Link, Jr. and his wife Helen of Bridgewater; two sisters, Anna Jane Link of Verona and Joann Stack and her husband Pete of West Chester, PA; six grandchildren, Lucas, Rachel, Andrew, Sarah, Tristan and Sawyer Moffett.

At her request Mrs. Moffett wished to be cremated and that there be no visitation and her interment to be private.
