Betty Sue (Fisher) McLain, 68, wife of William Marshall Rocky McLain of 31 Acorn Lane passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Envoy of Staunton.
Mrs. McLain was born on October 23, 1947 in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Joel, Sr. and Dollie (Minton) Fisher.
Betty was a member of the Fishersville Baptist Church and was employed by the Staunton Hampton Inn in housekeeping. She enjoyed cooking, hiking, taking care of her home, animals and kids.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McLain was preceded in death by four brothers, Jay Fisher, Johnny Fisher, Bill Fisher and Ronnie Fisher.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a son Shawn McLain and his wife Hattie of Waynesboro; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Stevenson; three brothers, Joel Fisher, Jr. and wife Louise, Jerry Fisher and wife Linda and Donnie Fisher and wife Peggy all of Wallins Creek, KY; four sisters, Wanda Disney of Wallins Creek, KY, Juanita Burkhart of Corbin, KY, Geneva Fee and husband Martin of Frankfort, KY and Faye Monroe of Waynesboro; special niece, Angie Neeper and her children, Trevor and Tori; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Fishersville Baptist Church by Pastor John Hamric.
