Betty Sue Mawyer's Obituary

Betty Sue (Robinson) Nana Mawyer, 59, wife of Wayne Mawyer of 28 Midvale Drive passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Mawyer was born August 7, 1951 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Frank M. and Helen V. (Fitzgerald) Robinson.
She was employed with Food Lion where she worked as a scan analyst. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed antiquing and Flea Markets. Her greatest joy came from spoiling her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Junior Jarvis and a special nephew, Tony Clark.
Surviving in addition to her husband to whom she was married in 1993, are
two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda M. Ward and husband Sid of Staunton and Kimberly L. Bledsoe and husband Daniel of Virginia Beach; a very close niece, Mira Robinson of Ashburn, VA; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie Robinson and wife Caroline of Waynesboro, James Robinson and wife Darlene of Stuarts Draft, Tommy Robinson and fiance Robin of Grottoes, Okie Robinson and wife Val of New Jersey, Frank Robinson and wife Brenda of Vesuvius and Bobby Mays and wife Sandy of Lyndhurst; a sister, Jean Jarvis of Dooms; six grandchildren, Kensley, Anthony, Tanner, Emma-Jaice, Daigan and Andrew and her honorary Food Lion family also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Coffman Funeral Chapel by Mr. Kenny Mays and Mrs. Sandra Carroll.
Burial will follow in Tinkling Spring Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home and other times at her residence.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Conner, Rob Price, Johnny Coffman, Bugs Mays, Tony Rowzie, Layne Mays, Ed Dillow and Danny Sandy.
It is suggested that those desiring to make memorial contributions to the Childrens Miracle Network, 7 Albemarle Ave. S.W., Roanoke, VA 24016.
