Betty R. Judy
Betty Marie (Rickman) Judy, 62 of 108 Miller Street, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in the Augusta Medical Center.
Mrs. Judy was born in Staunton on April 22, 1946 a daughter of the late James W. and Florence (Campbell) Rickman.
Betty was a homemaker and was especially devoted to the care of her son Joseph.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Judy was preceded in death by a son, Bobby D. Judy, Jr., a brother, Leroy Radford and a sister, Ruby Taylor.
Surviving are two sons Floyd Huntley and his companion Sharon of Churchville and Joseph Judy who made his home with his mother; three daughters and a son-in-law Alice Rickman, Tina Brogan and her husband Glen of Staunton, Lora Huntley and her companion Steve of Hinton; one brother, Jimmy Rickman of North Carolina; two sisters Mabel Stott of Sherando and Judy Hatcher of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Shane Rickman, Kim Rickman, Andy Back, Bruce Back, Floyd Huntley, III and Steven Guthrie; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Back, Felicia Back, Tai`shan Hawkins and Ashley Back; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service will be conducted in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 by Pastor Edna Sorrells.
The family will be receiving friends following the service at the home of Mrs. Judy at 108 Miller Street, Apt. # 47 in Staunton.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of her arrangements.
