Betty Ann (Hise) Key's Obituary

Betty Ann (Hise) Key, 65, wife of John Thomas "Tommy" Key, Jr. of 14 Hickory Drive, Waynesboro passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Key was born in Highland County, Virginia on August 17, 1955, a daughter of the late Ivan Coolidge Hise, Sr. and Catherine (Lowery) Hise.

Betty was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church and was retired as a bus driver with the Augusta County School System. She enjoyed her home and animals.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Key was preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Key, III.

Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-eight years, is a daughter, Courtney Ann Siron and her husband Joseph R. of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Ivan Coolidge Hise Jr. of Waynesboro; four sisters, Catherine Lucille Early of Crimora, Wilma Lee Courtney of Harriston, Patricia H. Ralston, and Michelle Elaine Lawrence both of Churchville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 in the Hermitage Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Pastor Peter Grimm.

The family will receive friends following the service.
