Betty Lee (Gentry) Vanburen's Obituary
Betty Lee (Gentry) VanBuren, 91, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Staunton, Virginia.
Ms. VanBuren was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia, on October 24, 1929 a daughter of the late Reverend Lillard Harry and Sarah Virginia (Dove) Gentry.
Betty retired from Hollister in Stuarts Draft, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Gentry, Sr.
Surviving is a daughter, Irma Hollingsworth and her husband, Clyde; granddaughter, Heather Hollingsworth; great grandson, Parker Scott Campbell; grandson, Devin Hollingsworth and his wife Julie; great granddaughters, Alexis Paige and McKenna Grace Hollingsworth; a sister, Anna Hinkle; a sister-in-law, Virginia Gentry and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Bobby Sims.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association, 355 Rio Road, Suite 102, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
