Betty Lou (Ballengee) Jackson, 88, wife of Aubrey Burnett Jackson, Jr. of Staunton, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Brookdale of Staunton.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Staunton, Virginia on June 27, 1936, a daughter of the late J. Elmer Ballengee and Maude (Michelini) Ballengee.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Jackson; a daughter, Karen A. Jackson; two brothers, C. Richard Ballengee and Harold Ballengee; three sisters, Charlotte Harlow, Mildred Fry, and Hilda Huntley; a niece, Patricia Blackley and nephews, Donald Huntley and James Harlow.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are nieces and nephews, Jerry Fry, Ronald Huntley, Thomas Huntley, Meda Sterrett, Sandy Reid, Dennis Harlow; and a niece-in-law and dear friend Emily Harlow.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be private in Augusta Memorial Park.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
