Betty Ann Arehart, 73, formerly of Stuarts Draft, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab in Staunton.
Ms. Arehart was born in Stuarts Draft, Virginia on October 31, 1947, a daughter of the late Harry Link Arehart and Beulah (Brooks) Arehart.
Betty was a member of the White Hill Church of the Brethren and retired from Hollister as a machine operator. Betty was always willing to help others, she was a cheerful giver, and enjoyed visiting those who were shut in. Betty will always be remembered for baking "The Best" homemade bread.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Arehart was preceded in death by seven brothers, Homer Arehart, Eddie Arehart, J.T. Arehart, Kyle Arehart, Harry "Hollis" Arehart, Charles "Leo" Arehart, and Jackie Arehart.
Surviving is a son, Eric S. Lotts and his wife Michelle of Staunton; Roxann Elliott and her husband Jay of Weyers Cave; four grandchildren, Cody Elliott, Brandie Elliott, Zach Ralston, and Emma Lotts; a brother, Wayne L. Arehart and his wife Gayle of Stuarts Draft; four sisters, Mary Lane of Glen Allen, Bernice Talbott of Midlothian, Christine Lotts of Staunton, and Alice Puffenbarger of Stuarts Draft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the White Hill Church of the Brethren by Pastor James I. "Jim" Chappell.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
