Betty Jean (Ward) Algoe, 89, wife of Richard Paul Algoe, Sr., of 714 Lebanon Church Road passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014, at her residence.

Mrs. Algoe was born on January 26, 1925, in Chester, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late John W. and Lydia May (Walker) Ward.

Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired as a secretary for the District Justice Office in Media, Pennsylvania. Betty enjoyed sewing, baking, sightseeing, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Algoe was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Ray Kreider; a great-granddaughter, Camillia Rose Stiller; two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 27 years, are three daughters, Connie Ann Stiller of Painesville, Ohio, Patricia Ann Slaght of Waterboro, Maine and Kathy Lee Diggins of Stuart, Florida; two step-daughters, Judy Keenan of Aston, Pennsylvania, Patti Scully of West Chester, Pennsylvania; a step-son, Richard P. Algoe, Jr. of Atlantic City, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren also survive.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Bobby Campbell and Rev. Randy Spencer.

The family will receive friends following the service.
