Jean (Oscar) Berry, 81, wife of David Elmer Berry of West Village Circle in Craigsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Berry was born in Augusta Springs on May 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Walter Lee and Mary Margaret (McNeal) Oscar.
Mrs. Berry was a member of the former, Augusta Springs Methodist Church and the Craigsville-Augusta Springs Rescue Squad. Jean enjoyed quilting, embroidery and working in her garden.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Oscar; and a sister, Marilyn (Oscar) Campbell.
Surviving in addition to her husband of sixty years are two sons, Randy D. Berry and his wife Melissa and Harold W. Berry and his wife Lisa both of Craigsville; two brothers, Elmer Oscar of Craigsville and Ira Oscar and his wife Dolly of Grand Plank, MI; three grandchildren, David Berry and wife Arielle, Jessica Waddell and husband Jonathan and Chris Berry; five great grandchildren; Willow, Elijah, Lance, Ashlynn and Aiden; two step grandchildren; Racheal Cason and Jeffrey Cason, II; six step great grandchildren; Langston, Parker, Kaydin, Carson, Brayden and Allie; a number of nieces and nephews; and her pet dog "Buck".
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2024 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Claudette Wilcher.
Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be David Berry, Chris Berry, Richard Fox, Kevin Puckett, Willis Witmer, Darrell Campbell, Otis White and Paul Blakely.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contribution to Craigsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 37, Craigsville, Virginia 24430.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
