Bernie Zavan Colvin, 90, widower of Kathleen (Knight) Colvin formerly of Craigsville passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Kings Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Staunton.
Mr. Colvin was born September 20, 1920 in Bath County, a son of the late Dave and Gertrude (Griffin) Colvin.
Mr. Colvin was retired from Burke, Parsons and Powlby Corporation in Goshen, a member of the Estaline Valley Church of the Nazarene and belonged to the Buffalo Trail Riders. He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Colvin is survived by a step-daughter, Alice S. Randolph of Staunton; a step-son, Basil Stuples and his wife Nancy of Craigsville; two sisters, Vera Duncan of Chester and Betty Catlett of Fairfax; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Merle M. Dodson.
Burial will follow in the Craigsville Cemetery.
