Bernadette Marie 'Bernie' Craig's Obituary

Bernadette Marie Bernie Craig, of Fishersville passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Augusta Health.
Ms. Craig was born in Ely, England, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Feer) Green.
Bernie was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church and retired from Rowes Restaurant after thirty-two years of service. After coming to the United States in 1966, Bernie began her new life with her family, making friends and building a trust with her many customers and colleagues. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and spending time in the yard.
In addition to her parents, Bernie had the misfortune of losing a son, Karl A. Craig; a daughter, Helen Marie Smith and a brother, David K. Green.
Ms. Craig was blessed with a large family, two sons, Darrin L. Craig and his wife Cathy of CA, Michael F. Craig and his wife Ann Marie of Ft. Defiance; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Craig of Greenville; son-in-law, Elton Smith of Orsiky Falls, NY; three brothers, Robert Green and his wife Brenda, Ed G. Green and his wife Teresa and Colin Green and his wife Shirley of Norwich, England; two sisters, Marie L. Low and Sally Munt and her husband Neil all of Norwich, England; five grandchildren, Makenzy Smith, Tanner Smith, Britany Bump and her husband Brant, Cody Craig and Tyler Craig; three step-grandchildren, John Harris, Stephanie Mass and Devon Payne; three great step-grandchildren, Beyonce Mass, Mykah Mass and Ryker Harris; several nieces, nephews and extended family in England; special friends, Debbie Hinkle, Jacki Baiotto, Shelia Thurber and Brenda Rehburg.
A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in St. Pauls United Methodist Church by Rev. T. Bryson Smith and Rev. Barbara Sawyer.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801.
Bernie wanted to thank her customers, friends, and co-workers for their loyalty and friendship throughout the years.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of her arrangements.
