Benny R. Spradlin, Sr.

STAUNTON

Benny Ray Spradlin, Sr., 49, husband of Cheryl Spradlin of 15 Beaver Creek Road, passed Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Mr. Spradlin was born January 18, 1962 in Tampa Florida, a son of Linda (Mahon) Hatchell.
Mr. Spradlin was employed with Loudoun Milk Transportation as a truck driver. He enjoyed NASCAR, loved fishing and playing golf. Benny had a gift for making folks laugh.
He was preceded in death by a son, Barry Spradlin.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nineteen years and his mother and step-father John Hatchell of Darlington, South Carolina, are three sons, Benny Ray Spradlin, Jr. and Bradley Spradlin both of South Carolina and K.C. Spradlin of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Ryann Spradlin of Pennsylvania, Brittany Lucia and Ashleigh Lucia both of Staunton; a sister, Shelia Owens and a brother, Clyde Owens both of South Carolina and seven grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 in the Blue Ridge Church of Christ, 1275 Goose Creek Road, in Fishersville.
The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested those desiring to make memorial contributions to the family c/o Mrs. Cheryl Spradlin, 15 Beaver Creek Road Staunton, VA 24401 for medical expenses occurred during Mr. Spradlins illness.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of his arrangements.
