Benny Ray Huffman, 83, husband of Alice Huffman, of Staunton passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Staunton Post Acute and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Huffman was born in Rockingham County, Virginia on July 24, 1941, a son of the late Boyd Deray Huffman and Esther (Cupp) Huffman.

Benny proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and woodworking. Benny was a true caregiver, always willing and ready to help his family in any way possible. He was a kindhearted man with a dry sense of humor, always bringing joy and laughter to those he met. Benny will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Don Whitmer; a brother, Earl Huffman; and a sister, Judy Huffard.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 59 years, is a son, Eric Huffman; a sister, Karen Huffman and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park by Reverend William "Bill" Trice.
