Beatrica Franklin (Collins) Hite, 76, of Staunton, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Staunton Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Hite was born in Albemarle County, Virginia on August 5, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert E. Collins and Myrtle (McDaniel) Collins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otho Hite; a brother, Toby Collins; and a nephew, Davis Blair Collins.

Surviving, is a son, Otho "Buddy" Hite, II; a daughter, Margaret Branch; grandchildren, Robert Hite, Kori Vest, and Reba Branch; a great-granddaughter, Madison Hite; a brother, Wilson Collins and his wife, Debra; nephews, Michael "Scott" Collins and William "Bo" Collins; and close friends, Kay Small, Alfie Knott, and Michael Branch.

Beatrica was a loving and caring sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Faith Christian Church by Pastor Warren Knott.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is handling her arrangements.
