Barbara Mary Ralston's Obituary
Barbara Mary (Opalka) Ralston, 57, wife of Kenneth E. Ralston, Sr. of 520 East Rockingham Street, Elkton, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012.
Mrs. Ralston was born in Chicago, IL on June 26, 1955, a daughter of the late Feliks Opalka, Sr. and Genevieve (Kastner) Opalka.
Barbara was of the Roman Catholic Faith, a homemaker who enjoyed her home and loved taking care of her family. She liked knitting and doing crafts.
In addition to her husband of thirty-six years, survivors include two sons, Jeremy M. Ralston and his wife Elizabeth A. of Staunton and Kenneth E. Butch Ralston, Jr. and his wife Pebbles L. of McGaheysville; a grandson, Xander Michael Wayne Ralston; a brother Felix Opalka, Jr. and his wife Linda of Ottawa, IL and a number of nieces, nephews and many adopted children also survive.
A private graveside service will be conducted in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to Cats Cradle, Post Office Box 2128, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22801.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
