Aven Caroline (Simmons) Brown's Obituary
Aven Caroline (Simmons) Brown, 63, of 500 "C" Street, Staunton, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at her residence.
Aven was born on September 17, 1955 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of Lester Boone and Lula Mae (Sprouse) Simmons Robertson.
Ms. Brown attended Christ United Methodist Church, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching game shows.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Lenwood Simmons, Sr., and a sister, Patricia Ellen Truslow.
She is survived by four brothers, Lester Delice Simmons, Lonnie Simmons, Edward Simmons, and Jesse J. Robertson; two sisters, Nancy M. Simmons and Linda A. Waybright; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Christ United Methodist Church by Reverend Sarah Locke.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
