Obituary

Austin Tyler Bennington, 19, of 59 Chestnut Ridge Road, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Greenville.
Mr. Bennington was born on August 23, 1996 in Fishersville, Virginia, a son of Richard William and Lori Ann (Bryant) Bennington.
Austin attended White Hill Church of the Brethren and Marlbrook Baptist Church. He was employed as an HVAC Apprentice for Moores Electric and Mechanical in Altivista and formerly worked at Sauced and Mrs. Rowes Restaurant. Sports were an important part of Austins life, beginning with little league football and baseball. He attended Blue Ridge Community College and was a 2014 graduate of Riverheads High School where he played varsity football, soccer, and ran track. Austin was a member of the FFA, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends.
Mr. Bennington was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Allen and Nannie Virginia Bennington.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Derrick Hunter Bennington all of Staunton; maternal grandparents, Walter Bryant Jr. and his wife Josephine of Greenville and Lorraine Arehart and her husband Tony of Stuarts Draft; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Chappell.
Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Williams, Bryant Williams, Matt Bennington, Chance Staton, Matt Spitler, Weston Snyder, Dillon Martin, and Jake Leonard.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida 32252 or the Disabled Hunters, 451 Hungerford Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, Maryland 20850.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
