Audrey Jerline (Downey) Thompson, 85, widow of Curney Lee Thompson, of 1053 Old Providence Road and formerly of Craigsville, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the Blue Ridge Christian Home in Raphine.
Mrs. Thompson was born on March 1, 1933 in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Joseph Clinton and Alda Rebecca (Morris) Downey.
Audrey was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, she was very faithful in attending church, a proud homemaker, and enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Thompson's family was of the upmost importance to her and she loved each and every one unconditionally.
In addition to her parents and husband of sixty-one years, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ann Thompson.
Mrs. Thompson was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving is a daughter, Sheree L. Fravel and her husband Doug of Spottswood; three grandchildren, Clayton M. Fravel, Justin L. Fravel, and Katie J. Thomas and her husband Nick; two great-grandchildren, Bobby D. Fravel and Jake M. Fravel.
A Memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Patrick Malphrus. The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private in the Craigsville Community Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to Dr. Rob Marsh, his staff, and to Blue Ridge Christian Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Thompson.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
