Obituary

Arden Wayne Perkins, Sr., 75, husband of Juanita Perkins of 16 Beverley Court, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Perkins was born on February 25, 1942 in Covington, Virginia, a son of the late Glenn and Loretta (Piner) Perkins.

Arden was retired from Window World as an installer and prior to retirement, he was employed by Smiths Transfer as an over the road driver. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an avid Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins fan.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Perkins.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Tammy Allen and her husband G.L. of Stuarts Draft; two sons, Wayne Perkins and his wife Marty of Staunton and Darren Perkins and his wife Teresa of Fishersville; nine grandchildren, Brandon Coe, Tanner Perkins, Ridge Perkins, Bliss Nuckols, Bianca Gamarra, Savanna Perkins, Alissa Perkins, Dakota Cunningham and Cheyenne Ramsey; four great-grandchildren, Lincoln Nuckols, Selena Nuckols, Wyatt Ramsey and Audriana Harris; two sisters, Rachel Harris of Staunton and Sandra Garner of South Carolina; a brother, Dennis Perkins of North Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ernie Nuckols and Ernie Moore.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Corey Smallwood.

Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Sam Perkins, Glenn Perky Perkins, Brandon Coe, G.L. Allen, Mike Myers and Ernie Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Cason and Ernie Moore.

It is suggested those desiring make memorial to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tennessee 38105 or the UVA Foundation, Vascular Center, Post Office Box 400331, Charlottesville, Virginia 22904.
