HEADWATERS:
Anton Tony Buchert, 88, husband of Elizabeth (Wrobel) Buchert of 2578 Upper Fork Road, Headwaters, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2011 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Buchert was born October 30, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Buchert was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and was a self-employed building contractor. He was a Mason for sixty-three years, most recently a member of the Highland County Lodge #110 A.F. and A.M. Mr. Buchert enjoyed his farm and taking care of his animals.
Mr. Buchert was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Buchert and James Buchert both of Horsham PA; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
In keeping with Mr. Bucherts wishes, his service will be private.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
