Annie Constance (Thomas) Robertson, 83, wife of Grover W. Robertson, of 1108 Skymont Road, passed away Friday, October 1, 2009
at her residence surrounded by her husband and children.
Mrs. Robertson was born December 20, 1925 in Deerfield, Virginia,
a daughter of the late Robert A. and Rubie (Bartley) Thomas.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by a son, Ronald C. Rexrode, a brother, Rodney Toddy Thomas and a grandson, Rick Silling.
She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and was retired from American Safety Razor where she was employed with thirty-one years of service.
Mrs. Robertsons past-time was spending time with her family whom she so dearly loved.
In addition to her husband to whom she married on December 19, 1964, is a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Robertson and his wife Robin of Fishersville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Silling and her husband Ricky of Staunton, Rita Chirgwin of Staunton and Melody Clifton and her husband Ray of Churchville; a brother Woodie Thomas and his wife Shelby of Weyers Cave; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Charlotte Wilkerson and her husband Burnett of Staunton, Pattie Graham of Deerfield and Adona Washington of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Rexrode of Churchville; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2009 in the Olivet Presbyterian Church by Rev, Joseph C. Brandon.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at her residence.
Burial will follow in the Thornrose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Allen, Hunter Robertson, Bobby Chirgwin, Gary Rexrode, Ricky Silling, Bernie Hogg, Ray Cox and David Thomas
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive is in charge of her arrangements.
