Annette Marie Lenker, born March 22, 1980, in Greenville, Ohio passed away Monday morning October 14, 2013.
Annette enjoyed participating and leading church camp from her youth. She found great joy and fulfillment in working and teaching children. Her ambition was to eventually serve as a missionary to Guatemala. Annettes essence could be summarized as being thoughtful and giving.
Annette loved her family and especially her nieces and nephew. The greatest joy of her life was knowing Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was employed as the director of Heifer Global Village at Shepherds Spring located in Sharpsburg, MD.
Annette was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather J. C. Hohlt.
Survivors include her parents Garry Charles and Anna May Hohlt Lenker of Greenville, Ohio; her paternal grandparents Eugene and Hannah Lenker of Staunton, VA; her maternal grandmother Mary Hohlt of Arcanum, Ohio; a brother Allen Lenker and wife Karen of Roanoke, VA; a sister Anita Combs and husband Galen of Staunton, VA; and nieces Maddie Lenker, Laura Combs, Leandra Combs, and nephew Logan Combs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren by Rev. Steven Rose.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the churchs social hall prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren for missions at 1790 Barren Ridge Road, Staunton, VA 24401.
