Annette Lee (Browder) McCormick, 76, widow of Jasper O. McCormick, Sr. of 73 Yarmouth Drive passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. McCormick was born May 16, 1938, in Richmond, VA, a daughter of the late Edward Leo and Annie Teresa (Austin) Browder.
Mrs. McCormick was a member of Rankin United Methodist Church.
She owned and operated her own catering business and enjoyed cooking, baking.
She was a lover of animals especially her pet cat Sunday.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by a son, Vincent McCormick; four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is a son, Jasper O. Owen McCormick, Jr. and his wife Diana of Verona; two daughters, Debra Gail McCormick of Stuarts Draft and Lisa M. Garrison and her husband Randy of Waynesboro; two sisters, Pearl Reynolds of Highland Springs and Pauline Vondie Medlin and her husband Forest of Chesterfield; two special children who were like her own grandchildren, Brandy and Britney Le and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday July 31, 2014 in Sherando United Methodist Church by Reverend Sarah E. Payne.
Burial will follow in the Rankin Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tory Bailey, Keith Jones, Michael Medlin, Dr. John Dunlap, Bruce Allen, and Raymond Scott.
