Annabelle (Farrow) Cook, 91, of Staunton passed away Friday, September 29, 2012, at Envoy of Staunton.
Mrs. Cook was born October 10, 1920 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Lucretia Anna (Dickerson) Farrow.
Annabelle was a sales clerk with Leggetts Department Store for over 20 years. She was a member of the Staunton Orthodox Presbyterian Church and a former member of Second Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Womens Circles. She enjoyed reading her Bible, watching UVA Basketball, walking in the park and housekeeping until her declining health.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving is one son Robert W. Bobby Cook, Jr. and wife Sue of Staunton; three grandchildren Suzanne Spotts and husband John, Tommy N. Cook and wife Catherine, and John E. Cook; seven great-grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Ethan Allison. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday evening in the Staunton Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
