Anna Carolene (Wade) Wood, 74, wife of Boyd Thomas Wood of 365 Starey Draft Lane passed away, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Wood was born January 27, 1938 in Bath County, a daughter of the late Earl Jacob and Lennie Pauline (Fertig) Wade.

Mrs. Wood was a member of West Augusta United Methodist Church and was employed with General Electric/Genicom for 36 years as a Relay Adjustor. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Her favorite hobbies included crocheting, hunting and fishing as well as a lover of Blue Grass music.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Losh; a Good Lookin grandson, Derek G. Losh; two brothers, Gerald Wade and Ed Wade and four sisters, Norma Wade, Waneta Wade, Betty Gibson and Virginia Hite.

Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-five years are four sons, Gary Earl Wade and his wife Robin of Fishersville, Dennis E. Losh and his wife Wanda of Fishersville, Lennie G. Losh of Spottswood and Kenny W. Losh of Bonney Lake, WA; a brother, George A. Wade and his wife Judy of Fishersville; a sister Catherine W. East and her husband Carl of Verona; three grandchildren, Whitney B. Wade, Nicole A. Losh and Christina Losh and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 in West Augusta United Methodist Church by Pastor Deb Washer.

Burial will follow in the West Augusta Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of her son and daughter-in-law, Gary E. and Robin Wade, 57 Summerfield Drive, Fishersville VA.

Active pallbearers will be the Walter Wade, Whitney Wade, Stanley Bryant, Greg Tomlin, Jeff Tomlin and Elwood Yowell.

Honorary pallbearers will be her church family at West Augusta United Methodist Church.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to West Augusta United Methodist Church, c/o Linda Friend, 562 West Augusta Road, West Augusta, Virginia 24485.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
