Ann Chandler, born Jessie Ann Hodges, passed away on September 7, 2021, and is flying with her angels, free of the ravishes of Alzheimer's disease.
Ann was born in Winnett, Montana on December 24, 1930, to the late Howard E. Hodges and Jessie E. Moore Hodges.
Ann grew up a daughter of Montana rancher parents. She married Donald W. Lambrecht in April 1951 and together they raised 5 children in their Air Force family. After their divorce, Ann moved to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with daughter Shawna. She remarried in 1980 to Maurice Gregory "Nick" Chandler and had many happy years together living in Greenville, VA, Sedona, AZ, Westcliffe, CO, and Flagstaff, AZ. They traveled extensively, entertained many family members and friends and continued learning and exploring throughout their lives.
Ann was predeceased by her daughter Shawna K. Lambrecht, husband, Nick Chandler, ex-husband Donald W. Lambrecht and stepson, John Chandler. Also, by her parents, sisters June A. Hodges and Katheryn A. Hodges (Jean) Keebler, brother David Earl Hodges and granddaughter, Kathryn W. MacLellan.
Surviving, is two sons, Theodore H. "Ted" (Cathy) Lambrecht of Nantucket, MA, and Laurence W. "Larry" Lambrecht of Munds Park, AZ; two stepsons, David (Gina) Chandler, Kevin McManus; two daughters, Lynne M. Lambrecht (John) Dubinski of Greenville, VA and Karin A. Lambrecht MacLellan of Nantucket, MA; sister-in-law, Jean Hodges. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jessie A. Lambrecht of Dorchester, MA., Sarah J. Lambrecht (Matthew) Kozlowski of Rutland, MA., Ian M. (Hannah) Dubinski of Denver, CO., Leah A. Dubinski (Andrew) Rhodes of Swoope, VA. and Peter W. (Katie) Dubinski of Montrose, CO., Zoe E. MacLellan (Jim) Bowers of Nantucket, MA., Grace A. MacLellan (Ryan) Webb of Nantucket, MA., Nora H. MacLellan of Waltham, MA. Ten great-grandchildren include Anthony F. Kozlowski, Christian M. Kozlowski, Oliver T. Kozlowski, Eilidh A. Dubinski, Sophie A. Rhodes, Lucy J. Rhodes, Izabel G. Rhodes, Robert W. Bowers, Emmeline L. Bowers, and Henry J. Bowers.
Ann's family would like to thank her caregivers at Wellspring Village-Brightview Baldwin Park and Augusta Health Hospice for their loving care during her last years.
A memorial service and burial for Ann will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville with a reception to follow.
