Ann (Shuey) Bailey, 72, widow of Phillip Samuel Sam Bailey, II of 627 Spruce Street passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Bailey was born on December 30, 1944 in Staunton, a daughter of the late James Armond and Lillian Ernestine (Riley) Shuey.
Mrs. Bailey attended Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Travel-N-Wranglers Chapter of F.C.R. V. She worked many years for Town \u0026 Country, K-Mart and Krogers, but Anns greatest joy was caring for and keeping children in her home.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Shuey, Fred Shuey, and Bill Shuey; and a sister, Norine Smith.
Surviving is a daughter, Cynthia Ann (Bailey) Fitzgerald and her husband Glenn of Staunton; three grandchildren, Lauren C. Snead, Jonathan P. Snead and Alexis R. Fitzgerald; a sister, Mary Bell Gibson and her husband Jim of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Park by Kathy W. Lafon.
