Anita Faye (Johnson) Key, 47, wife of Gerald Blair Geri Key of Waynesboro, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Key was born April 13, 1967 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Clarence Daniel Danny and Darlene Mary (Thompson) Johnson.
Anita was a member of the White Hill Church of the Brethren; and was employed at the Staunton WalMart for seventeen years as a zone manager. Her job and co-workers kept her going and became a second family to her during her illness. She was a very dedicated supporter and participant in Relay for Life. Mrs. Key was a loving wife, mother, sister, Nana, and Aunt Needie and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Key is survived by four daughters, Tifani Johnson and fianc David Thomas, Genifer Key, Shara Key Wells and husband Eric, and Tiffany Mongold; a sister and caregiver, Judy Clark; fourteen grandchildren, Nathan Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Arizona Hurt, Abigail Key, Jacob Guyer, Emma Roberson, Kali Davis, Tre Davis, Eric Wells, Jr., Holly Shifflett, Quinton Mongold, Aiden Mongold, Zaydan Kesterson and Trais Roberts; a great granddaughter, Sophie Kent; a loving aunt and uncle, Lorraine Arehart and Aron Thompson; a niece, Amber Kesterson; a nephew, Adam Kesterson; special friends, Michelle Metje, Stephani Dennis, and Jackie Wood; and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of Anitas Life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Chapel.
