Anita Diane Gordon Jackson, 79, widow of Norman Monroe Jackson, Sr., of Staunton, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Shenandoah Hospice House in Fishersville, Virginia.

Ms. Jackson was born in Richmond, Virginia on December 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Lawrence Gordon, Sr. and Jeannette (Jones) Gordon.

Anita retired from Western State Hospital and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Gordon, Jr.

Ms. Jackson is survived by her companion, Larry Foersterling; a daughter, Jeannette E. Lancien; a brother, William "Bill" Gordon; and two grandchildren.

Per her request there will be no services.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
