Angela Doreen Angie (Sykes) Smithkin, 54, wife of John Smithkin, Jr. of 41 Church Street passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Smithkin was born on February 16, 1960 in Cortland, NY, a daughter of Elaine (Mules) Sykes and the late Malcolm B. Sykes.
Angie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and the Sonshine Sunday school class. She enjoyed cross stitch, needle point, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Mt Solon and her husband of 35 years, is a son, Brandon J. Smithkin and wife Kylene of Verona; a daughter, Brandi L. Earhart and husband Alex of Verona; two brothers, Jeffery W. Skyes of Mt. Sidney and Gregory S. Sykes of Staunton; a sister, Theresa C. Harvey of Swoope; five grandchildren, Mason D. Earhart, Logan J. Smithkin, Dylan B. Smithkin, Mackenzie A. Smithkin and Aidan C. Earhart.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 in Memorial Baptist Church by Pastor Temple Myers and Pastor Ben Sprouse.
The family will receive friends following the service.
