Angela Dawn Smith Ruoto, age 41, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away early Monday morning, November 14, 2016.
She was born March 11, 1975, in Staunton, VA, the daughter of Wayne and Thelma Smith.
Angie was a creative, fun, loving and adventurous spirit. A poet and prolific singer/songwriter, she created and performed countless songs with the musical talent of Joseph Ruoto. Most recently Angie wrote the song "40 West" for her cousin Colton Pack for his first Nashville recording.
Survivors include her three children, Cole, Canyon and Corryn and the childrens father Joseph Ruoto, IV, brother Preston Smith, his wife Sarah, sister Summer Smith, grandparents Henry and Margaret Breeding and Hilda Smith. She is also survived by her childrens paternal grandparents, Joseph and Honey Ruoto, and Aunt Christina Ruoto, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Verona United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
