Althena Maxine Kincaid, 89, of Staunton passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Kings Daughters Health and Rehab Center in Staunton.

Mrs. Kincaid was born in Williamsville, Virginia, on November 30, 1932 a daughter of the late Walter Bryan Tuning and Vada Virginia (Pullin) Tuning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles L. Kincaid who passed on March 18, 2008; a daughter, Mary Janelle (Jill) Kincaid; a son, Charles Gary Kincaid; a brother, William Tuning, and a sister, Bertha Ellen (Tuning) Marshall.

She is survived by a daughter, Beverley Kincaid and son-in-law Chris Smith of Venice, Florida; a son, Ricky Lane Kincaid of Williamsville; two sisters, Ann Crummett and Jean Tuning, both of Staunton; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Geri Tuning of Hot Springs, VA; and a sister-in-law, Annie Tuning of Churchville.  She is survived also by 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 8 nephews, and 3 nieces.

Althena was a member of the Staunton First Church of God for over 60 years.

A Private Service will be held in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
