Alma Jean (Reynolds) Hiner, 91, widower of Ronald Saunders Hiner, of Staunton passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.

Mrs. Hiner was born in McDowell, Virginia on October 17, 1931 a daughter of the late Robert L. Reynolds and Bessie (Ralston) Reynolds.

Jean was a member of Christ United Methodist Church . She graduated from C & O Nursing School in Clifton Forge and was retired from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center as a registered nurse.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hiner was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Leonard and John B. Reynolds and a sister, Constance Martin.

Surviving, are two sons, Marty Hiner and Steve Hiner and his wife Amelia all of Staunton; a daughter, Sherry Foster and her husband J im of Lyndhurst ; a sister-in-law, Marlene Reynolds of Monterey; four grandchildren, Amanda Walker and her husband Beau, Jimmy Foster and his wife Claire, Amy Jurls and her husband Darby, and Allyson Hiner; ten great-grandchildren and three nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 :00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 in Christ United Methodist Church by Pastor s Jimmy Foster and Darby Jurls .

The family will receive friends follow ing the service.

Burial will be private in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in handling her arrangements.
