Alice Kay (Mayers) Watts's Obituary

Alice Kay (Mayers) Watts, 82, wife of Eugene Watts of 5077 Morris Mill Road, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Watts was born January 14, 1931, in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Homer Douglas and Irma Hope (Kean) Mayers.
Alice was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church, a teacher for the Augusta County school system, choir director at Waynesboro Free Methodist Church, and a supporter of the Weekday Religious Education program. She enjoyed sewing, music, playing the piano, knitting and crocheting.
In addition to her husband of fifty-six years, Mrs. Watts is survived by three sons, Kevin D. Watts and wife Pam Eavers-Watts of Front Royal, Dr. Keith E. Watts and wife Dr. Gabriela Pozzi of Grand Rapids, MI and Kent D. Watts and wife Kathy of Swoope; a daughter, Kim D. Watts of Manakin Sabot, VA; a brother, Dr. Marvin K. Mayers of Fort Myers, FL; a sister, Margaret Louise Shaiebly of Lancaster, PA; seven grandchildren, Daniel P. Watts, Carmen W. Green and husband Andrew, Austin Watts, Erica Watts, Eric Watts, Chad Watts, and Caleb Watts and a great grandchild, Brailyn Green also survives.
A Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Hebron Presbyterian Church by Pastor Frank Wyche and Pastor George Woods.
Burial will be in Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times the residence.
Active pallbearers will be Andrew Green, Don Peyton, Ron Peyton, Austin Watts, John Green, Ray Swats, Jessie Armentrout, and Keith Watts.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the West Augusta WRE, c/o Jeff Rawley, 706 Whetstone Draft Rd, Mt. Solon, VA 22843 or to the Legacy Hospice, 17 Parkway Lane, Fishersville, VA 22939.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Nancy, Jodi and Chaplin Murphy Terry of Legacy Hospice, for the care given to Mrs. Watts during her illness.
