Alfred N. Stanley, Jr.'s Obituary
Alfred N. Stanley, Jr., 79, husband of Joyce Stanley of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Stanley was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 2, 1941, a son of the late Alfred N. Stanley, Sr. and Dimple (Scaggs) Stanley.
Alfred was a 1964 graduate of Bridgewater College and retired in 1995 from Hollister, Inc. He attended Destiny Family Center in Stuarts Draft and was dedicated to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Stanley, and a daughter, Kristin Heather Stanley.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-five years, is a grandson, Drew Stanley and his wife, Liz; four great-grandchildren, Oakley, Ella, Tobias, and Huntley Stanley; a brother, Jeff Stanley and his wife Jo Ellen; two sisters, Sherry Cupp and Bonnie Glovier and her husband Arvil and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 in the Destiny Family Center by Pastor Chuck Balsamo.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Alfred's memory to the Destiny Family Center, 36 Rose Avenue, Stuarts Draft, Virginia 24477.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
