Obituary for Sharon Lynn Baker

Sharon Lynn (Muller) Baker, 66, wife of Frederick Jay Baker of Staunton, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.

Mrs. Baker was born in Albany, New York on April 27, 1953 a daughter of the late James Edward and Bertha Lucille (Dopp) Muller.

Sharon was a member of Reality Church in Fishersville where she was a leader of the Women’s Bible Study and Worship Team. She was a homemaker, enjoyed singing, and laughter. She was a very happy and loving lady, who loved the Lord. “She knew who her God was and trusted Him to the end.”

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Muller.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 32 years are two sons, Kris P. Miner and his wife Becky of Troy, New York, and Steven J. Baker of Staunton; two daughters, Sheri M. Markuson and her husband Michael of Staunton, and Karen E. Breslin and her husband Thomas of Springfield Missouri; three step-sons, John Baker and his wife Marion, Terry Baker and his wife Paula both of New York, and Geoff Baker and his wife Melissa of Massachusetts; a step-daughter, Beth Kelly and her husband Chris of Alabama; a brother, David Muller of New York; a sister, Ruth E. Clark of New Port Richey, Fla; twenty-eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Pastor Terrance Williams.

The family will receive friends following the service.

It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the family for Mrs. Baker’s medical expenses.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
