Edith M. Fisher
STAUNTON:
Edith Virginia Edie/Me Maw (Mynes) Fisher, 67, wife of G. Payne Fisher, of 250 Hammond Lane, Staunton passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in Augusta Health.
Mrs. Fisher was born May 31, 1943 in Fairfield, a daughter of the late Richard W. and Hallie Louise (Humphries) Mynes.
Edie was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and the Women of the Church. She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and was loved by her family and many friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Mynes.
Surviving in addition to her husband to whom she married on December 20, 1975 are four sons and a daughter, G.P. Fisher, III and Dale Lee Phillips both of Staunton, Ronnie Wayne Phillips and his wife Peggy of Santee, SC, Todd Toddy Hopper Phillips and his friend Debbie of Waynesboro, Christy Chris Fisher of Staunton; a brother, George K. Mynes and his wife Bertha of Sherando; a sister, Shirley M. Fix and her husband Tommy of Stuarts Draft; nine grandchildren, Scott Phillips and his wife Veronica, Jenny Phillips Gibson and her husband Dave, Brandon Phillips and his friend Shayna and her daughter Kristyn, Mikie Doodle Phillips and fiance Ashley Marshall, Lil Ronnie Hurt, Rodney Hurt, Kaela Phillips, Brittany Britt Fisher and fianc Harlan Roach and Logan Payne Logi Fisher; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Gibson, Callie Gibson and Payton Snell; a number of special nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010
in the Third Presbyterian Church by Pastor Jack B. Wilkers and Rev. Joseph E. Walker, Sr.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A private burial will be in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
