Pastor Nicholas Arthur Lessner, 86, husband of Mary E. (Kredl) Lessner of 510 Gaymont Place passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Lessner was born October 12, 1924 in Trenton, New Jersey, the son of the late Nicholas Anton and Lillian A. (Wilson) Lessner.
Pastor Lessner worked for the Potomac Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as an Auditor and Minister. He was a very patient man, good husband, father and provider for his family.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Pastor Lessner is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy J. “Dot” Selvage and her husband Frank E. of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Michael Selvage, Wendy Moulder and Lee Allen Selvage; five great-grandchildren, Myah Selvage, Byron Selvage, Allen Moulder, Lora Moulder and Lillie Selvage, also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Dan Darrikhuma.
The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to A.D.R.A. International, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Springs, MD 20904 or C.F. Richards Junior Academy, Attn: Grant Walters, 414 Sterling Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
