Obituary for Nana May Simmons

Nana May (Robinson) Simmons, 61, wife of Royal Lee Simmons, Sr. of 489 Almo Chapel Road, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Simmons was born on September 15, 1956, in Stuarts Draft, a daughter of the late Raymond and Virginia (Alley) Robinson.

Nana enjoyed listening to the music of Alan Jackson, watching NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Bill Elliott and watching game shows on TV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Robinson and a sister, Clara May Robinson.

Surviving in addition to her husband of forty-four years, are her children, Marie Brock and husband James, Royal Lee Simmons, Jr. and wife Andrea, Samaul Simmons and wife Tiffany, Joseph Simmons and wife Sabrina, Carleton Simmons and wife Nikki, Loretta Riley and husband Bobby, Gretta Simmons and Jerry Hostetter, and Ella Simmons and Tony Weeks, Sr.; siblings, Russell Robinson, Hazel Wells, Rosa Rexrode, and Josie Rexrode; grandchildren, Jessica Riley and B.J. Riley, Michael Brock and Leanna Brock, Cody Smith, Kaley Simmons, and Dustin and Emily Simmons; great-grandchildren, Adam Parnell and Madison Riley.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor John M. Ward.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
